Here´s a list of programs that you probably will find helpfull with your media creations:



Gifworks.com - A great online gif editor - very usefull for icon sizes etc.


Lunapic.com - A great online picture editor (Thanks for the tip Seth).


The Gimp - The GNU version of photoshop. Great program, a bit hard to get started with, but it can do just about anything you can ask of an image editing software.


Artweaver - Fairly easy to get started with, and has some very nice features.


Macromedia Flash - The ultimate program for interactive multimedias.  I always use flash to create all my media´s and icons.  Not a free program - but there´s a free trial.


And of course, I STRONGLY recommend using Firefox:
